Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to provide in-person speech-language services at an elementary school setting, beginning immediately through June 10, 2025. The assignment supports students from Pre-Kindergarten through Kindergarten across two schools, with a workweek of 35 hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Key responsibilities include planning and delivering speech-language therapy focused on areas such as assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and addressing receptive and expressive language delays. The role also involves performing diagnostic evaluations, preparing clear and comprehensive assessment reports, developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to support student progress.
Ideal candidates will hold or be eligible to hold certifications from the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Department of Education. While prior school-based experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, flexibility, and problem-solving aptitude are essential for success in this role.
