Vice President, Mining Projects

Vice President, Mining Projects – Denver, CO. Lead & oversee aspects of mining projects pipeline & function including complex sustaining capital work, closure projects, safety & health performance of employees & contractors.Req include BS in Mining/Mech Engineering or closely rel + 10 yrs exp in position offered/Mining Projects/Operations Director. Exp must include at least 10 years’ working knowledge: Project execution strategy dev; engineering management; procurement management & dev of sourcing strategies; KT strategy dev including types & structure of KTs to suit project scope & location; risk management including ability to drive risk process, implement system to mitigate risk & shape project execution strategy to apportion risk appropriately across delivery partners; project safety management including ability to drive safety system implementation, monitor performance & react when corrective action required; project controls including managing implementation of strong cost estimate & schedule development, performance monitoring & reporting; safety in design including the implementation of HAZOP, LOPA, & HAZID processes; construction management including developing methodologies, resource planning, supervision structures, & performance management; managing transition through construction completion, commissioning, & hand over for successful operations ramp-up.
