The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings.\n\nJob Duties\n\nResponsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations.\n\nReview, signing and sealing of projects.\n\nReview submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work.\n\nWriting and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices.\n\nEnsure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n7+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\n\nValid Electrical Professional Engineering (PE) license (will consider 6 years of experience with PE license).\n\nExperience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.\n\nExperience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.\n\nStrong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems.\n\nExperienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.\n\nExperienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.\n\nAbility to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.\n\nSelf-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.\n\nTop-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nProficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.\n\nBenefits\nAll full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefit package that includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of medical premiums covered by the employer, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, a 401(k), vacation time, paid holidays off, and yearly performance-based bonus eligibility.\n\nMeade is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
