Inside Sales EngineerBeachwood, OH 44122Position OverviewThe Inside Sales Engineer plays a key role in supporting the sales process by leveraging their technical knowledge and communication skills to assist customers and internal teams develop proposals. Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and sales assistance to customers inquiring about industrial control systems, automation products, and related equipment. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering solutions, preparing quotes, and collaborating with outside sales teams. The position requires a balance of sales expertise, customer service, and technical knowledge concerning electrical components, automation, PLCs, drives, safety, and control systems.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support & Sales:Address inbound inquiries about industrial control systems, including upgrades and new designsProvide technical guidance and prepare quotes and proposals for automation solutionsSelect suitable products to meet customer requirementsTechnical Expertise:Possess in-depth knowledge of industrial control products (e.g., PLCs from Rockwell, Siemens; Drives from Rockwell, ABB, Siemens, Yaskawa, Schneider)Collaboration:Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturers for effective supportCoordinate with partners to resolve complex inquiriesLiaise with vendors for the latest technical information and pricingSales Process Management:Follow up on quotes and maintain accurate records in Millennium systemsManage the complete quote cycle, including project creation and documentationProvide after-sales support as neededMarket and Product Knowledge:Stay informed about new automation products and industry trendsParticipate in training and seminars to enhance technical skillsQualificationsWhat we need you to have:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)In-depth knowledge of industrial controls, automation, and electrical components (e.g., PLCs, VFDs, Servos, Sensors, HMIs)Familiarity with key automation brands (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric)Excellent customer service and communication skillsProven ability to understand industrial control needs and develop corresponding solutionsExperience in inside sales or technical support, preferably in industrial automationStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple inquiries and quotes simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with effective documentation skills for sales opportunitiesProficient in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office softwareWhat we'd love you to have:Experience with CRM systems (Acumatica, Salesforce, SAP, etc.)Knowledge of industrial standards and regulations (e.g., UL, CE, IEC)Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)Additional Information:Travel Requirements 5 - 10% travelApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa currently
