Successful candidates must have over five years of experience managing electrical construction projects and supporting the overall strategic goals of the company and the CORE VALUES . The Project Manager will foster the Core Values while building relationships to align with company's strategic vision and the company's THREE COMMITMENTS.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nPlan, organize, and execute all aspects of the project- Know Your Job\nDetermine and coordinate all necessary project resources\nMake decisions on project(s)\nFunction as the liaison between the field and the client(s) to facilitate effective construction activities\nPrepare and track job quotes and bid packages\nCoordinate with Engineering Department on Design-Build work and obtain Plan Check Approval\nReview contracts, trade specific work, and insurance documents (OCIP/ CCIP)\nIdentify, create, and negotiate all change orders in a timely manner\nMaintain all progress tracking logs and manage releases of lighting gear and controls\nDirect, train, and mentor a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, as applicable\nCollaborate with field supervision and internal support resources to ensure the project stays on schedule and maximizes profitability\nCoordinate, attend, and/or lead all project related meetings, i.e., Team Meetings, KEC Job Strategy Process Meetings and Customer/Client Meetings, etc.\nPrepare for and attend monthly Project Reviews with upper management\nReview Job Reports and create monthly cost and billing projections\nOversee Billing Processes and actively work to maintain a healthy cash flow position\nPrepare weekly Project Status report for clients, providing project status updates\nMonitor and approve all job-related cost expenditures\nManage and track subcontractors\nMaintain an active role in project safety in conjunction with KEC's safety team\nComplete project closeout process\nThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments and to make reasonable accommodation as needed.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nEstimating experience: McCormick/ Accubid preferred\nProficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit\nProactive attitude and initiative\nExcellent reasoning skills\nAbility to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings\nKnowledge of, and compliance with, all electrical codes, and State Compliance Laws/Regulations\nAbility to take ownership and accountability\nStrong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing job requirements\nStrong understanding of complex and technical electrical construction and management practices\nAbility to work in a team environment and display leadership skills\nPositive attitude and customer focus\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nA bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business-related field from an accredited college or university preferred (*)\nA minimum of five years in the electrical construction trade, with a strong knowledge of construction sequencing, construction methods, and materials practices; including knowledge of electrical systems (*)\n(*) Can be a combination of trade, education, and relevant work experience\nLICENSES/SPECIAL TRAINING:\nLEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications are desired but not mandatory\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequently, they work outdoors on uneven surfaces.\nMay be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.\nMay be required to stoop, bend, and crouch.\nWork Environment:\nWorks in a climate-controlled environment 50% of the time.\nMay work in varied weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.\nFrequently works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.\nMay occasionally work in areas with hazardous chemicals\nSAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEach employee has a responsibility for their own safety, the safety of their co-workers, and the community in which they are operating.\nIn the performance of duties and responsibilities, you are expected to observe all safety, health, and loss prevention rules, practices, and procedures, as well as specific instructions related to the safe and efficient performance of your work.\nAn effective and viable safety, health, and loss prevention program will be attained only when all employees are safety conscious and keenly aware, both mentally and physically, of the potential hazards of your environment.\nGENERAL SIGN OFF:\nThis is not an all-encompassing job description but more a brief Summary of duties for the position.
