The CNC Programmer acts as a backup to the Supervisor/Manager covering vacation and sick time and the CNC Programmer trains others in the programming and setup for the application of job runs.Base Salary Range:$30/hr - $38/hr DOE.Key Responsibilities Include:\r\nCollaborates with engineering on building prototypes\r\nLeads and/or Assists in the design and development of machine tooling\r\nProficient in set up and operation of Turrets, Laser, Panel Bender, Safan\r\nFirst article inspection\r\nAdjusts machine settings to operate machinery in accordance with established procedures\r\nCommunicate machine operation or parts defects\r\nIn collaboration with the Fabrication Manager makes decisions on spending needs for the machine shop equipment\r\nAssists Machine Operators answering questions and solving problems\r\nIdentify tool and die issues and perform repair (sharpening) and replacement of tool & die\r\nObserves operation of machine and verifies conformance of formed or cut workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers\r\nSources and obtains quotes on machine shop tooling needs\r\nLeads and Supports training and preparing bench strength\r\nEnsures that all IMS Standards are maintained and followed\r\nHas responsibility for scrap control and reduction\r\nReview production schedule for turret and laser and maximize sheet metal yield\r\nRuns simulations for new routings and bill of materials for costing purposes\r\nMaintain cleanliness of workstations\r\nAbility to operate electric pallet jack and hand pallet jackRequirements:\r\nExperience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role with equivalent experience. Preferably in a fast-paced organization with an international presence.
