This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who thrives at the intersection of AI, cloud engineering, and innovation, helping drive enterprise adoption of emerging technologies while mentoring engineering teams and partnering directly with federal clients.\nYou Will Get To\nLead technical evaluations of emerging AI/ML technologies through prototypes, proof of concepts, and experimentation.\nAnalyze and communicate the benefits, tradeoffs, and implementation risks of new technologies to technical and business stakeholders.\nDesign, develop, and deploy production-ready AI/ML applications within AWS cloud environments.\nSupport AI/ML application development across development, operations, and security disciplines in cloud-native environments.\nDrive enterprise adoption of modern AI technologies and engineering best practices.\nBuild, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models for production use cases.\nCollaborate directly with clients and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.\nProvide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and supporting the professional growth of junior team members.\nPresent technical findings, experiment results, and architectural recommendations to internal leadership and federal customers.\nWho You Are\nA technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering and machine learning challenges.\nPassionate about applying AI to solve meaningful, real-world problems within the federal government.\nComfortable leading technical discussions with engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders.\nCurious about emerging AI technologies and excited to evaluate new tools and platforms.\nA collaborative mentor who enjoys helping teams grow while driving technical excellence.\nAn excellent communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).\n7–10 years of professional experience in software engineering or cloud engineering experience.\nAt least 3 years of experience deploying production enterprise applications in AWS.\nAt least 2 years of experience deploying production AI/ML applications in enterprise environments.\nStrong proficiency in Python.\nExperience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.\nExperience with AI/ML platforms and services including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Hugging Face, Weights & Biases, or similar technologies.\nStrong data analysis and manipulation experience using pandas.\nExperience visualizing and presenting experiment results using tools such as matplotlib.\nExperience working within AWS cloud environments.\nAbility to quickly learn new technologies and contribute across multiple projects.\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nComfortable presenting technical solutions to clients and executive stakeholders.\nNice to Have\nExperience leading or managing engineering teams.\nExperience mentoring software engineers or machine learning engineers.\nExperience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI agents.\nExperience deploying AI solutions using MLOps best practices.\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience building CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML workloads.\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps and secure software development practices.\nExperience supporting federal, highly regulated, or mission-critical environments.\nClient Requirements\nApplicants must be U.S. Citizens.\nAbility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.\nSalary\nWe are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $150,000 to $230,000 annually.
