Role DescriptionProvide support to senior team members for management of existing investments and underwriting of new loan investments, which will entail:Analyzing historical and projected financial statements, and identifying key drivers and trends that impact performance. Summarizing key metrics to senior members.Assessing asset coverage and collateral valuation of various asset classes, including inventory, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and intangible assets. Writing (i) pre-screen reports for initial evaluation of the opportunity, (ii) underwriting memos for final approval by credit committee before closing/ funding, and (iii) periodic investment review reports for existing investments. Maintaining database reporting for tracking of ongoing investment metrics.Reviewing company- & industry-related news and developments through public and subscribed search capabilities. Performing comprehensive analysis of the industry to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.Participating in all aspects of due diligence, including site visits and meetings with management teams, equity sponsors, consultants, and other lenders. Providing support in the negotiation of amendments and restructurings of portfolio investments as applicable, and providing analytical and written report support to the senior members.QualificationsAt least 2-3 year’s experience in credit or corporate banking, investment banking, or similar field. Experience or knowledge in asset-based lending preferred. Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.Strong financial analysis, modeling, and underwriting skills.Attention to detail and organizational abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
