Your Role as a Visiting Beautician / Barber Assisted Living | Memory CareThis role may also be known as:Visiting Hair Stylist, Community Beautician, Community Barber, Salon Service Provider, or Contract Beautician/Barber.We are seeking a Visiting Beautician or Barber to provide professional grooming and salon services to our residents on a part-time, scheduled basis a few days each week. This role plays an important part in helping residents feel confident, dignified, and well cared for, with special consideration given to the needs of an aging population.What You'll Do Provide salon services to residents, including:Shampoo and blow-dryHair cutting and stylingHair coloringPermsBasic nail careDeliver services in a respectful, patient, and compassionate mannerAdapt techniques to accommodate physical, cognitive, and mobility needs of residentsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaCommunicate professionally with residents, families, and staffFollow infection control, safety, and sanitation standardsUphold resident dignity, privacy, and confidentialityPhysical Demands Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequentlyUse hands and arms for cutting, styling, and grooming activitiesAssist residents as needed to safely position for servicesSafety Requirements Follow all facility safety and infection control protocolsMaintain proper sanitation of tools and equipmentAdhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelinesReport any safety concerns to community leadershipWork Environment This role operates within a Skilled Nursing community and involves direct interaction with residents in a salon or designated service area.Qualifications Grade school education requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageExcellent skills as a Beautician or Barber, preferably working with seniorsStrong communication and customer service skillsCurrent Beautician or Barber license , if required by state regulationsEqual Opportunity Employer Americare Senior Living is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applicants from all walks of life.
