Job SummaryThe Staff Accountant reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and supports the Garlock Palmyra finance team in preparing and booking journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and reporting monthly financial results, plus other accounting tasks as assigned.Candidate Values and BehaviorSafetyEmbrace the values of the Enpro safety pledge. Support the maintenance and enhancement of a work environment that promotes the respect of everyone.Essential Position FunctionsAssist and support Garlock with month end reporting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and intra/intercompany accounts, reporting, and other areas, as assignedReview monthly department spend reports and investigate budget and other variances.Support internal and external auditsEnsure Sarbanes Oxley and other internal controls are executed timelyCompletion of quarterly and annual reporting schedules for Enpro and/or Enpro’s third party auditorsPrepare and file sales and use tax report by due datesWork collaboratively with colleagues and others to identify and achieve best practicesSupport continuous improvement efforts and change to enhance efficiency and controls.Assist with special projects and backup other accounting team members when scheduling issues ariseCompetenciesJob Competencies & QualificationsCollaborate effectively with others throughout the organization to achieve desired resultsReceptive to change to support the achievement of continuous improvement. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $50,000 to 82,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
