This role will work with Materials Management and Manufacturing Management to improve incoming quality, in-process quality and outgoing shipment quality. The role will involve some incoming inspection and verification by auditing of incoming materials and outgoing product shipmentsResponsibilitiesPerform incoming inspection/audit of raw materials and/or 3rd party products. Work with MaterialsManagement on continuously improving incoming quality parts/systems from our suppliersReduce dependency on 100% of detailed incoming inspections. Drive quality upstream by validating processes through routine auditsPerform audits of outgoing products/shipments. Process must be to perform audits to improve shipping quality.Schedule & maintain records that support calibration of the equipment in the facility that meets the requirements of the QMS. Work directly with Manufacturing Management to ensure equipment is in calibration at all timesPer the QMS system create, monitor and follow up with SCAR’s and CAPA’s with suppliers, shipping quality findings, and in process audits.Demonstrate strong leadership within the operation by driving consistent use of established Quality and QMS procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accountability.Manage Optical Dispositioning of material in and out of MRB areas dailyKeep track of and follow through with resolution of RMA’s. Maintain records of RMA’s by month with CAPA’s as required for each incidenceWork directly with Manufacturing Management on implementation of SPC in the manufacturing processProduce monthly metrics for NCMR’s, RMA’s, quality process audits, shipping audits, SCAR’s & CAPA’s, as well as others at the discretion of the Quality Manager.Maintain 6S in work areaCompletes tasks in a timely mannerComplete required ERP/Computer transaction & reportsPersonal QualitiesDemonstrate interpersonal skills, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and innovative problem solving skills – must be a critical thinkerProactive work ethic, ability to juggle priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.Ability to organize, prioritize and mange tasks efficiently.QualificationsBasic computer skills; must be proficient in MS word and ExcelExcellent attention to detailAbility to analyze possible solutions for recurring problems, and communicate these issues with the appropriate personnelGood written and verbal English communication skills requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required
