We are seeking a TEMPEST Engineer to join our team to help contribute to our success and help us solve problems with innovation through intelligence.\n\nThe TEMPEST Engineer Mid-level primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.\n\nAs part of our team, you'll get to work on a team of TEMPEST engineers and SMEs helping perform TEMPEST testing and inspections and provide TEMPEST engineering recommendations to help ensure the security of our nation's systems. You'll learn from our existing TEMPEST subject matter experts to grow your knowledge and skills, as well as share your TEMPEST expertise with others. You'll get to work onsite with the customer, integrated into their team to ensure mission success.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nCoordinate in the implementation, inspection and verification of TEMPEST requirements for the F-35 JSF Air System and secure facilities supporting the Air System.\n\nCoordinate with the Air System TEMPEST Lead, Air System Contractor, United States Government entities, and Certified TEMPEST Technical Authorities (CTTAs) to facilitate compliance with F-35 Air System TEMPEST Regulations Set up Equipment under test (EUT) enclosure in accordance with Govt specs.\n\nProperly execute TEMPEST test and inspection methods and signal analysis under the oversight of a Certified TEMPEST Professional or CTTA.\n\nRecord and coordinate all test results and concerns under the oversight of a CTP.\n\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and assist in the resolution of Emanation Security (EMSEC) vulnerabilities.\n\nVerify the Air System compliance with TEMPEST requirements under the oversight of a CTP.\n\nWork with TEMPEST vendors.\n\nCapture and Analyze qualification test data and results and writing reports.\n\nWork with project teams to evaluate products with respect to NSITSSAM TEMPEST/1-92, Committee on National Security Systems Advisory Memorandum (CNSSAM) TEMPEST 01-02, and CNSSAM TEMPEST/1-13.\n\nAttend TEMPEST Working Groups with crypto device user / customer, National Security Agency (NSA) Cybersecurity Certification Manager (CSCM) and vendor.\n\nPerform and document facility TEMPEST RED/BLACK inspection IAW the Air System Requirements and the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705.\n\nValidate NSA TEMPEST security requirements are applied consistently throughout the Air System.\n\nParticipate in secure facility Design Reviews (DRs) for Special Access Program (SAP) Facility (SAPF) construction, ensuring F-35 Ship and Site Activation Management Plan (SSAMP) and Design Review Criteria (DRC) are met.\n\nConduct on-site SAPF inspections during construction period.\n\nParticipate as a member of the Interim Accreditation inspection team.\n\nTravel up to 50%, including CONUS/OCONUS locations.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in the stated discipline.\n\nA Mid-level person within a labor category has three (3) or more years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and will perform all functional duties independently.\n\nKnowledge and working experience with ICD-705, TEMPEST shielding solutions, and Protective Distribution System (PDS) is highly preferred.\n\nDepartment of Defense Clearance\n\nTop Secret with SCI and SAR eligibility\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain all job duties required of the employee.
