This 12-week paid program offers hands-on corporate experience, meaningful exposure to day-to-day operations, and valuable preparation for a future career at CopperPoint.\r\nThis Data Engineering internship will provide hands-on experience supporting the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms. Interns will work with real-world Enterprise Data Warehouses and modern cloud data platforms while gaining exposure to enterprise data engineering best practices.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAssist in building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines\r\nWork with structured and semi-structured data\r\nSupport ETL / ELT workflows using SQL and Python\r\nParticipate in data quality checks and validation\r\nDocument data pipelines and schemas\r\nSupport performance tuning and optimization\r\nCollaborating in Agile Execution\r\nQualifications\r\nA current college undergraduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\r\nProficient in SQL and comfortable writing queries to analyze and transform data\r\nFamiliar with Python, including basic scripting and working with libraries such as Pandas\r\nKnowledgeable about ETL concepts and data pipeline workflows\r\nExperienced with version control tools, particularly Git\r\nEquipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills\r\nFamiliar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP\r\nExperienced or eager to learn modern data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake\r\nKnowledgeable in distributed data processing using Spark or PySpark\r\nExposed to workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow\r\nComfortable working with and consuming REST APIs\r\nAdditional Program Details\r\nProgram Dates: May 26, 2026 – August 14, 2026\r\nSalary: $20-$21.33 per hour\r\nTravel Commitment: CopperPoint will host interns at our Phoenix, AZ office in June and August for team building, training, and engagement activities, concluding with a celebration of intern achievements.\r\nWork Location: Full Time Remote – Phoenix, AZ & Seattle, WA\r\nTime Commitment: 30 hours per week\r\nBenefits: PTO accrual and CopperPoint's 401(k) plan eligibility\r\nAbout CopperPoint\r\nCopperPoint Insurance Companies is a leading provider of workers' compensation and commercial insurance solutions with a growing footprint across the western United States.\r\nEqual Employment Opportunity\r\nCopperPoint is an equal employment opportunity employer.
