This role provides architectural leadership, technical direction, and hands-on implementation expertise to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing MAS environment supporting NASA’s Enterprise operations. The engineer will work closely with cross-organizational leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure consistent platform reliability and adherence to Enterprise integration standards.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n• Prepare and present project-related information to executive, leadership, and center\n\nteams.\n\n• Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting activities for\n\nMAS.\n\n• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of IBM Maximo architecture, automation scripting,\n\nand the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including REST API integrations.\n\n• Lead technical design of Enterprise integration architecture supporting NASA Enterprise\n\nsystems.\n\n• Lead implementation and configuration of secure API management and authentication\n\nstandards.\n\n• Define API messages, error handling, and monitoring strategies for integrations.\n\n• Perform complex application configuration and develop automation scripts using Python,\n\nXML, JavaScript, and JSON.\n\n• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and architecture.\n\n• Develop and maintain complex scripting for MAS configurations across multiple\n\nenvironments, including Docker-based configurations.\n\n• Configure and support Maximo Mobile, including SSO authentication implementations.\n\n• Create application configurations in Maximo Mobile using the Maximo Application\n\nFramework (MAF) Configuration application to modify MAS configurations.\n\n• Manage and support Maximo Application Suite user synchronization with Microsoft\n\nEntra ID.\n\n• Demonstrate working knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform within Enterprise Maximo deployments.\n\n• Perform data modeling to support Business Intelligence (BI) reporting needs.\n\n• Possess hands-on experience with BIRT reporting and Microsoft Power BI.\n\n• Utilize Jira Service Management (or comparable ticketing systems) to manage and track\n\ntechnical issues and service requests.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n • Minimum 8+ years of Maximo technical engineering experience.\n\n• Demonstrated expertise in Maximo architecture, MIF, automation scripting, and API integrations.\n\n• Advanced Linux experience, including scripting, system operations, and performance management.\n\n• Hands‑on experience with MAS installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and patching.\n\n• Strong understanding of OpenShift, containerization, and enterprise MAS deployments.\n\n• Working knowledge of Maximo Mobile, SSO solutions, and MAF configuration.\n\n• Experience developing automation scripts using Python, XML, JavaScript, and JSON.\n\n• Experience supporting BI/reporting needs (BIRT, Power BI) and data modeling.\n\n• Familiarity with secure API management and authentication frameworks.\n • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to interface with cross‑functional technical and leadership teams.\n • Experience using Jira Service Management or similar platforms for issue tracking.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n• Experience supporting NASA or other federal enterprise Maximo environments.\n\n• Experience designing and maintaining Enterprise‑level integration architectures.\n\n• Familiarity with MAS licensing models, user synchronization methods, or large‑scale\n\nenvironment deployments.\n\n• Experience with performance tuning, high‑availability configurations, or MAS\n\nobservability tools.\n\n• IBM Maximo Certifications: Certified Deployment Professional or IBM Certified\n\nAdministrator.\n\nBenefits of working at Brown Technologies Incorporated\n\nBrown is proud to support the health and wellbeing of the people we employ.
