Our ideal candidate is diligent, eager, easy to work with, and humble.\nThis position requires you to be in the office onsite a minimum of three days/week.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and continuously improve web sites, web applications, and APIs.\nWork closely with product owners, business analysts, software architects, UI/UX designers, QA testers, and other developers to iron out and implement requirements.\nBe a solid knowledgebase for best practices in React, CSS, C#, and SQL.\nEvaluate and test third-party software packages for compatibility with existing systems and ease of use and determine if software meets our needs and priorities.\nMentor junior programmers.\nEmbrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications.\nKeep informed about relevant technologies and trends.\nConduct software demos, share progress updates, and provide guidance to team members.\nAssist and participate in software deployments.\nProactively support applications by monitoring helpdesk tickets, investigating production errors, reviewing security reports, creating user stories, and updating documentation as needed.\nInitiate and coordinate meetings with users, system administrators, and cross-functional teams as needed.\n\nJob Qualifications\nKnowledge, Skill and Ability:\nAdvanced knowledge of C#, Entity Framework, React, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server, XML, RESTful, and SOAP based web services.\nUnderstanding of Scrum/Agile software development principles.\nExperience and knowledge of MS Azure DevOps (or similar) and CI/CD processes.\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical colleagues and other senior management/credit union employees as appropriate.\nStrong relationship building and teamwork skills with ability to develop and maintain consultative relationships with Canvas colleagues.\nGeneral Employment Requirements\nExhibit support for the organization’s goals, values, initiatives, and cost control.\nRecommend and help develop and implement new policies and procedures.\nComply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.\nKeep informed on developments and trends in report writing including new products, services, and technological advances.\nFollow all safety and security guidelines to properly safeguard member and organization assets.\nEmbrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications.\nRegular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nWorking knowledge of Windows operating systems, Workstations, Microsoft Office, and other software packages to diagnose equipment, software or operational problems.\nWorking knowledge of using, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer and networking equipment.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nAbility to maintain confidences.\nPre-employment background review (components include criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, global sanctions, and sex offender).\nEducation or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with an emphasis on development, or equivalent experience.
