LaBella Associates, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY office.\n\nThis position will work with other Engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. Individual will work closely with other engineers and team members to produce electrical engineering documents.\n\nThe Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients.\n\nThe Electrical Engineer will work with Architects and Engineers as part of a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports. Duties shall include lighting calculations, power distribution design, circuit and feeder calculations, and power, telecommunication, security and systems layouts. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services.\n\nCandidates will work on an interesting variety of project types including K-12 and higher education, municipal, health care, large commercial, residential and other unique projects.\n\nDuties\n\nWork with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.\nPrepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.\nPerform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.\nPerform field investigations to document existing conditions.\nMust maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.\nExpected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.\n\nSalary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year\n\nThe specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field required.\n3 - 7 years of experience.\nEIT certification is a plus.\nBackground in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.\nExperience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.\nStrong writing, organizational and communications skills.\nAbility to work on several projects simultaneously.\n\nBenefits\n\nBody, mind, and wallet—LaBella’s benefits support a holistic approach to your health and wellness, creating the foundation for physical, mental, and financial well-being.
