Senior Director of Accounting
Overview: We are seeking an accomplished accounting leader to oversee the company's corporate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, supporting strategic business initiatives, and strengthening the organization's accounting infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with operational leadership experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesDirect the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial resultsManage corporate accounting activities, including general ledger oversight, account reconciliations, consolidation activities, and related reporting requirementsOversee the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable reporting standardsEvaluate and provide guidance on complex accounting matters, including revenue arrangements, stock-based compensation, business transactions, leases, and other technical accounting topicsEstablish and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and workflows to support business growth, operational efficiency, and strong financial governanceCollaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and external audit partners to support financial objectives and regulatory requirementsMaintain a robust internal control environment and support compliance initiatives, including SOX programs where applicableLead accounting transformation initiatives, including process automation, system implementations, and reporting enhancementsDevelop and coach accounting professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementPresent financial and accounting matters to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations and actionable insightsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA strongly preferred12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting leadershipExtensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and technical accounting researchExperience leading accounting teams within complex, multi-entity, or high-growth organizationsStrong business partnership skills with the ability to influence decisions across functions and executive levelsProven success managing competing priorities, driving process improvements, and delivering results in a dynamic environmentExperience with major ERP platforms and financial systems, including Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar solutionsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into practical business guidance
