This position can either be Seasonal and end on December 23rd, or be year round.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform hands- on electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks and perform prescribed preventative maintenance on buildings, and grounds as required.\nEnsure standard practices for maintaining the highest level of proficiency, safety, and outstanding customer service.\nEnsure cleaning standards are adhered to.\nPerform on-call duties, scheduled with Facilities Manager, for facilities emergencies.\nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.\nMust be organized, and task oriented.\nAble to work in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changes in tasks throughout each day.\nMust feel comfortable working both independently or in a team environment.\nMust be enthusiastic, and willing to learn to become proficient in the following skills: basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, painting, and janitorial.\nOpen to learning the use of hand and power tools common to the skills listed above.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Drive.\nCustomer service skills a must.\nPhysical Demands\nSome heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.\nSome maintenance required at heights; must be able to climb ladders / scaffolding, and be comfortable working at heights.\nFacilities staff may need to work in varying weather conditions, extreme heat in excess of 90 degrees or freezing below 0, rain, heavy winds, torrential down pour, or snow.\nIt could be necessary to perform tasks in various work environments, such as flat hard surfaces, rocky, steep hills, wet grounds, grass areas, steep stairs, heights, dust and dirt.\nEmployees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds numerous times throughout the shift, as needed.\nEducation and Experience\n2 years of related experience in a maintenance environment.\nClean driving record.
