Without a doubt, this will be the most rewarding and meaningful work you’ll ever find with a work family that is second to none!What You’ll Do Acts for the Warden for assigned operations Works in conjunction with and at the direction of the Chief Inspector's Office Communicates matters of critical importance as soon as possible to the Chief Inspector’s Office (e.g., removal of staff/contractors/visitors due to investigation, serious assaults, suspicious deaths, overdoses, escapes, suicides) Coordinates investigations with Chief Inspector’s Office Serves as the liaison between the Warden and the Ohio Highway Patrol, prosecutors office and other law enforcement agencies in all investigative matters of incarcerated individuals and/or staff Conducts investigations dealing with drugs, contraband, employee/incarcerated individuals relationships and violations of laws, rules and/or policies by visitors and/or staff Monitors incarcerated individuals phone system Serves as the administrative liaison between the warden, resident population and staff in matters of litigation against the institution and staff Attends training as directed and effectively utilizes technology Researches and responds to inquiries and complaints from the general public and outside agencies Prepares reports, position papers, legal documents and/or correspondence Represents the Warden for orientation of new staff & incarcerated individuals Trains staff on investigative techniques Serves on institutional committees Attends training as directed Acts as the duty officer as assignedWhat's In It For YouAt the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
