Job Description Construction EstimatorCompany: Southeast Restoration & Fireproofing Co., Inc.Location: Atlanta, GeorgiaEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummarySoutheast Restoration & Fireproofing Co., Inc. ("SERF") is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support our growing portfolio of restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, and specialty construction projects throughout the Southeast. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates, reviewing contract documents, and supporting project teams from pre-construction through project award.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, and specialty trade scopesReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirementsPerform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing based on labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costsSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotesIdentify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential risk itemsAssist in developing bid strategies and value-engineering optionsMaintain organized estimating files and historical cost dataSupport Project Managers during handoff and project startupAssist with change order pricing as needed Qualifications3+ years of estimating experience in the construction industryExperience with restoration, waterproofing, fireproofing, or specialty trades strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)Strong attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyClear written and verbal communication skillsPreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with public and private bid processesExperience working with general contractors and design teamsKnowledge of Southeast construction markets and pricingCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceStable, long-term position with an established Southeast contractorOpportunity for growth within the estimating and pre-construction teamDirect collaboration with ownership and senior managementApplication InstructionsInterested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter to:Employment@serest.com
