We are searching for a passionate and meticulous Development Assistant to join our dedicated team in Riverside, CA. The Development Assistant will support fundraising, grant development, donor engagement, marketing, and communications efforts. As a member of the Strategy & Advancement Department, this position provides administrative and project support across the Development, External Affairs and Marketing departments, contributing to resource development, community engagement and organizational visibility.\nThis role assists with grant reporting, donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, events, scheduling, and external communications. The Development Assistant also helps create engaging digital content, social media assets, reels, e-blast campaigns, e-newsletters, and marketing materials that showcase the impact of our programs, services, and community initiatives while maintaining brand consistency.\nThis position is a full-time position, 5 days a week in the Riverside, CA location.\nThe Development Assistant will report to the Development for daily oversight.\nPrimary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nAssist with grant proposal development, submission, and reporting.\nResearch funding opportunities on local, state, federal, corporate, and foundation levels.\nMaintain grant calendars, reporting schedules, and compliance requirements.\nPrepare supporting documents including budgets, organizational materials, impact data, and program outcomes.\nMaintain and organize a library of grant support documents including grant contracts, grant agreements, previously submitted applications and reports, resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board/Staff demographics information, and additional related organizational documents.\nCreate and coordinate content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms.\nDevelop engaging short-form video content, including reels and promotional videos highlighting TruEvolution programs, events, staff, clients, and community impact.\nDesign and develop digital assets, graphics, presentations, and promotional materials that support organizational goals.\nDraft and distribute e-newsletters, e-blasts, donor communications, fundraising appeals, and marketing campaigns.\nAssist with content planning and editorial calendars to ensure consistent audience engagement.\nWe are looking for someone who is:\nAbility to be self motivated and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls.\nDemonstrated follow through on tasks and goals, with careful attention to detail.\nProven organizational skills.\nAbility to work both independently and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex organizational data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.\nStrong storytelling, editing, content creation, and copywriting abilities.\nDetail-oriented, highly organized, and a true problem-solver.\nService-oriented, professional, and a collaborative team player.\nAble to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.\nThe Physical Requirements/Demands of this position are:\nLight physical activity including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods\nOccasionally walking and moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite building to another\nLight work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.\nAscending or descending sets of stairs or ramps when other means of movement are not available\nAll staff are expected to:\nAttend weekly staff meetings (2x per month), on time and prepared with requested updates or materials.\nAttend annual staff retreat (1x per year)\nAttend one (1) conference or professional development training per year\nAttend all signature annual TruEvolution activations as requested, including: Youth United, Annual Gala – Legacy Ball, and other “key” events to the annual programmatic calendar.\nTravel- All positions at TruEvolution may require travel on a regular basis or periodically.
