The Meal Program Assistant also helps coordinate our frozen meal delivery program. $16 / hour\nEDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nCompletion of tenth grade required.\nPrior experience cooking in small groups preferred.\nWork experience in cooking for large groups may be substituted for education.\nMust possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.\nFood handlers certificate required; must be obtained within first 90 days of employment.\nServSafe certificate required in applicable counties; must be obtained within the first year of employment.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES\nExcellent people skills and professionalism.\nSkill in completing multiple tasks at once.\nAbility to use good judgment and decision-making skills.\nAbility to pay close attention to detail.\nAbility to follow and verbal and written instruction.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team environment with frequent interruptions.\nDemonstrated understanding of safe technique skills for food preparation.\nDemonstrated understanding of proper procedure for kitchen operation, sanitation procedures and cleaning equipment.\nAbility to calibrate a thermometer.\nWillingness to learn required computer skills to support operations and reporting.\nAbility to drive to various locations as needed.\nNormal working conditions in a kitchen/dining environment, may be exposed to hazardous conditions such as possible slippery floors, extreme temperatures, hot and cold products, and sharp objects.\nPRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TESTING AND BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
