Aviation Technician (A&P Mechanic)This contract Aviation Technician (A&P Mechanic) role focuses on performing a comprehensive 10-year inspection on Embraer Praetor 500 aircraft. You will carry out detailed structural, mechanical, and systems inspections, perform heavy maintenance, and ensure the aircraft meets all safety, regulatory, and operational standards. This is a 6–8 week contract assignment with the potential to extend based on project needs and performance.ResponsibilitiesPerform a complete 10-year inspection on Embraer Praetor 500 aircraft in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements.Conduct detailed airframe structural inspections, identifying defects, wear, corrosion, and structural anomalies, and document findings accurately.Inspect landing gear systems, including components, actuators, and associated hardware, and verify proper operation and condition.Perform flight controls inspections and rigging checks, ensuring correct alignment, travel, and functionality of all control surfaces.Inspect fuel systems, including tanks, lines, pumps, and related components, to ensure integrity, proper operation, and absence of leaks.Evaluate and service hydraulic systems, including lines, pumps, actuators, and reservoirs, and address any discrepancies found.Inspect engines and auxiliary power units (APU), including visual checks, functional tests, and documentation of any discrepancies.Carry out corrosion prevention and control tasks, including inspections, treatments, and repairs in accordance with approved procedures.Perform heavy maintenance and heavy inspection tasks on aircraft, including disassembly, repair, replacement, and reassembly of components.Conduct annual inspections and other scheduled maintenance as required, ensuring all work is properly documented and signed off.Troubleshoot aircraft systems and components, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective corrective actions.Perform aircraft repairs on airframe and related systems using approved methods, tools, and materials.Ensure all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards, including adherence to A&P license privileges and limitations.Collaborate closely with a small crew of mechanics and contractors to coordinate tasks and maintain efficient workflow.Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and logbook entries for all work performed.Use appropriate aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and test devices safely and effectively during inspections and repairs.Why Work Here?You will join a growing organization in a corporate aircraft environment that offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated business jets and expand your hands-on experience with complex inspections and heavy maintenance. The schedule follows a Monday through Friday, 40-hour workweek on a day shift from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will work as part of a small crew, collaborating with two other contractors and a staff of approximately seven mechanics and leads. The environment involves hands-on work around jet aircraft, including use of standard aviation maintenance tools, equipment, and test devices, and requires adherence to all safety procedures typical of an active maintenance facility.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
