In R&D, youll drive breakthroughs that could turn the impossible into possible for millions.Position OverviewSanofi's Biomarkers & Precision Medicine group, within the Translational Medicine Unit, seeks a senior-level ad Biomarker and Precision Medicine Lead who can shape organizational strategy and drive innovation in biomarker development and precision medicine approaches. This data-driven position focuses on leading the development and implementation of decision enabling translational medicine strategies for our robust pipeline in Immunology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Rare Diseases. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve peoples lives.Main ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership:Drive biomarker and precision medicine strategies across multiple projects and therapeutic areasShape long-term vision for biomarker implementation in drug development programsLead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholder decisionsIdentify and capitalize on emerging trends and technologies in biomarker developmentGuide resource allocation and investment decisions for biomarker programsScientific Excellence & InnovationServe as the primary scientific authority in disease biology and biomarker development on project teamsDrive innovation in biomarker strategies and precision medicine approachesLead the evaluation and implementation of novel technologiesGuide the development of complex biomarker algorithms and patient stratification strategiesProvide strategic input on indication selection and project prioritization to enable portfolio decisionsTeam & Organizational LeadershipManage and develop a team of biomarker scientists (2-3 direct reports)Mentor junior colleagues and foster talent developmentBuild and maintain strategic external collaborationsRepresent Sanofi at high-level scientific forums and industry meetingsDrive cultural transformation and operational excellenceProgram OversightOversee multiple programs across different development phasesEnsure alignment between biomarker strategies and overall program goalsGuide decision-making at critical program milestonesLead interactions with senior management and external partnersManage complex budget and resource allocation across programsAbout YouRequired Qualifications:PhD with at least 8 years of experience in translational and/or clinical research. Will consider MD w/PhD (or equivalent with similar skill set)Recognized expertise in Immunology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, or Rare DiseasesExtensive track record of successful biomarker strategy implementationDemonstrated leadership experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industryStrong publication record and scientific reputation in the fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience managing teams and developing talentTrack record of successful external collaborationsExperience with regulatory authorities and health technology assessment bodiesDue diligence experienceAdvanced project management skillsWhy Choose Us?
