The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a developer, the candidate will be responsible for developing & deploying technical solution following engineering excellence standards. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fir together and impact one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and infrastructure teams.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDeliver assigned development projects withing agreed schedule, quality and scope expectations\n\nParticipate in all stages of SDLC within an agile Scrum environment\n\nForm partnership with technology vendors and gain deep understanding of products\n\nEnhance/Re-architect existing components to satisfy new requirements in terms of performance and scalability\n\nProvide level 3 (escalation) support for the application\n\nSkills\n\nMust have\n\nAt least 6+ years of experience with Java, and 7+ total IT experience.\n\nLogical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovate and solutions oriented\n\nEffective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience\n\nExperience/understanding with the following technologies:\n\nJava (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring Boot\n\nSQL.PL-SQL on Oracle DB\n\nContainer platform based on Kubernetes\n\nREST web services, Kafka, Redis\n\nUnix Commands and shell scripting.\n\nFamiliarity with standard data structures and algorithms.\n\nExperience using the following tools\n\nJIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, Git (GHE & Bitbucket)\n\nNice to have\n\nMaster's degree or PHD in relevant field is desirable\n\nExperience working with the Scrum methodology\n\nExperience working with a NoSQL database\n\nExperience designing and implementing microservices\n\nFinancial services technology experience preferably in reference data domain\n\nPhysical and logical data modeling\n\nOther\n\nLanguages\n\nEnglish: B2 Upper Intermediate\n\nSeniority\n\nSenior\nRemote United States, United States of America\n\nReq.
