Description And FunctionsOpen Until FilledGeneral DescriptionThe Office Support Specialist I is the primary front-line representative and one of two main Office Assistants for the Wyoming Retirement System (WRS), providing essential customer service to WRS members and the public. This position manages the front desk, answers phones, handles walk-in inquiries, and determines the correct routing of all communications. Key administrative responsibilities include processing all incoming mail, including contributions to the state pension, and ensuring accurate data entry. Assists staff with mass mailings when necessary and completes special projects for department managers as needed. Ensures outgoing mail has the proper documentation attached. Main point of contact with Central Mail. Process & review returned mail. Receives and redirects incoming phone calls, takes messages, and assists WRS members, contractors, and the public.Responsible for customer service, and answering questions on departmental services and functions. Ensures the front desk always has coverage and is attended to at all times and assists all walk-ins. Ask clarifying questions to ensure the correct answer is provided and/or routed correctly and handle customer complaints as needed.Edit/change names, phone numbers, addresses, and beneficiaries when necessary.
