Join our innovative and dynamic company as we build, test and operate the small spacecraft of the future.\r\nPosition Purpose\r\nProgram Manager II will be providing leadership and supervision in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, mission formulation, system analysis, detailed design, analysis, integration, test, and orbit operations.\r\nTitle\r\nProgram Manager II\r\nPosition Type\r\nFull Time\r\nPay Range\r\n$105,000 - $155,000\r\n(Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)\r\nLocation: On-site at our Lafayette, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).\r\nBenefits\r\nEmployer sponsored health, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following hire date\r\nLife insurance\r\n401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)\r\nGenerous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\nProgram management responsibility for Space hardware missions for Commercial, Defense, Restricted, or NASA satellites.\r\nProgram execution in all phases of the program life cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations).\r\nSystem design balancing performance, emerging technologies, schedule, risk, and cost.\r\nEncourage, counsel, mentor, and lead program teams through program evolution, milestones, challenges, and successes.\r\nPrepare, present, and manage major program milestone reviews.\r\nPerform trade studies balancing cost, schedule and technical requirements and parametric analyses.\r\nEvaluation of existing and emerging technologies.\r\nDevelop, review, and negotiate procurement documents (specification, SOW) and manage subcontracts.\r\nWork closely with customers to help refine their needs and provide innovative and competitive solutions.\r\nSupport and help evolve the spacecraft and component product line offerings.\r\nGenerate and maintain program integrated master schedule (IMS).\r\nGenerate and maintain program budgets and forecasts, including financial, technical, and schedule risk and opportunity positions.\r\nExecute flight programs that meet technical and cost obligations.\r\nWork closely with other contractors/teammates/partners in meeting customer needs.\r\nCollaborate closely with technical program leads and diverse domain expertise.\r\nEnsure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.\r\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\r\nRequired Qualifications/Education\r\n5-10 years of relevant experience.\r\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business Management with Engineering background.\r\nGood documentation and communication skills.\r\nStrong systems engineering and technical management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new business opportunities and execute demanding flight programs.\r\nAbility to work rapidly with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams.\r\nPrevious experience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.\r\nMust be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with emphasis on rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities.\r\nRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
