Litigation Attorney (Los Angeles or Orange County)

Job Summary: Seeking experienced Litigation Attorneys knowledgeable in medical malpractice to manage cases from investigation through preparation, excluding trial/arbitration presentation. The role involves developing effective case strategies and supporting claims defense. Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop discovery and investigation strategies.Coordinate case defense preparation with Claims Specialists.Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and responses to discovery requests.ttend court appearances as necessary.Prepare lawsuits for trial or arbitration.Provide mentorship and share legal knowledge with attorney colleagues.Ensure cost-effective case management and defense work.Respond promptly to "hotline " inquiries from the Claims Department.ssist trial attorneys with litigation reporting and case work-up at all stages.Comply with Defense Attorney Guidelines.Represent physicians at depositions in "Depo-only" cases as needed. Education and Experience:J.D. degree required.Licensed to practice law in California.Minimum 3-6 years of medical malpractice litigation experience. Skills and Abilities:bility to work independently and efficiently.Strong mentoring and team-building skills with staff counsel.
