You will have the opportunity to work on highly visible and critical financial system integrations. You will gain insight into the numbers behind how the insurance industry functions. You will be a part of our modernization journey adopting DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies. You will be leading the engineering of business requirements.\nThis role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).\n\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership and enforce the vision of the application architecture\nSkilled in Power BI and SSRS report development, including drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, and custom expressions. Experienced in designing, developing, and turning raw data into actionable insights using interactive dashboards and reports.\nSafeguard the integrity of the application environment in alliance with architects and other tech leads\nParticipate in all parts of SDLC- Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment.\nDesign and develop complex SQL, SSIS, SSRS code after writing detailed technical design specification.\nWriting Scalable code in .NET (C#) application.\nDrive technical innovation through newly identified and leading technologies\nPossess functional knowledge of Financial systems and work with Business and deliver with highest technical quality.\nSupport and quickly respond to Production issues and requirements especially during month-end.\nManage, Integrate and deploy code in multiple environments.\nSupport financial month-end activities.\nPrepare comprehensive technical requirements for the development team and oversee their completion.\n\nQualifications\nMust be authorized to work in the US now and in the future.\nDevelop and maintain robust SSIS ETL workflows for diverse data sources, advanced data transformations, and automation.\nBachelor’s Degree with 8+ years developing SQL and .NET code.\nExperience leading development efforts of a complex system.\nStrong knowledge in SQL, SSIS and SSRS development.\nStrong knowledge in .NET (C#) and Visual Studio.\nStrong Troubleshooting skills and ability to reverse engineer SQL and .NET code.\nExperience supporting Financial systems.\nBe self-motivated, analytical, and skilled in research. Manage multiple priorities effectively, focus on details, and maintain a clear overall perspective.\nExperience designing and implementing Microservices or API-based integrations.\nExperience with DevOps practices including but not limited to continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) concepts and tools; familiarity with automated testing and code analysis tools.\nA strong desire to stay on top of technology trends in the AI, cloud space as it relates to supporting Financial systems in AWS.\nStrong skills in Excel and MS 365.\nThe candidate must have strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills with ability to effectively communicate solution recommendations and influence key stakeholders.\nCandidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.\nCompensation\nThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
