OTR CDL Hot Shot Driver

We are looking for an experienced over the road truck driver (2 years minimum of listed and verifiable) - long distance deliveries for ***Please read carefully: this is not a local route, furniture & appliance home delivery, UPS or FedEx position. You must have a minimum of two years of listed and verifiable OTR long haul (400 miles per day) experience in a Hot shot.*** Responsibilities · Must be able to operate a hot shotnand trailer, secure loads, interact with customers and client representatives throughout the shift. Maintain record of deliveries and company provided DOT ELD daily. · Maintain company vehicle by conducting before and after preventive maintenance checks Requirements: · Must pass drug screen, and have clean MVR report, knowledge of DOT compliance, valid Class C Drivers License, Steel Toe work boots required. · Manage freight hauling pickup and deliveries Over the Road (OTR) 5-10 days minimum away from home up to 3-4 weeks- not local deliveries · Ability to use technology (send, receive, and add attachments by emails) both on phone and computer. · Must follow written and verbal instructions well · Must be a problem solver, solutions oriented, and take initiative when issues arise · Must be punctual, always early or on time. · Must have great attention to detail · Must be consistent with prompt communication with dispatcher regarding loads · Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts · Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures · 1099 / random drug testing Skills · Proven work experience as an Over the Road (OTR)/ interstate truck driver - Not local routes 400 miles or more · Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS & Motive ELD) · Ability and experience in driving long hours (up to 11) and travel regularly a minimum of 400 miles per day · Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations · No recent moving or driving violations in any state (last three years) · Must have no at fault accidents · Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision · Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) · Valid Driver License – Copy of MVR required (3 yrs) clean in all states. · Must have valid DOT medical card · Must have no DOT citations Compensation Job Types: Full-time, Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Commission 20% of gross Eligibility for 6-month retention bonus Eligibility for 1 year retention bonus Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $700.00 - $1,500.00 per week Application Question(s): On a scale of 1-10 rate your attention to detail and explain your number.
