MEP Quantity Surveyor

Datacenter People is working with a leading Data Center Consultancy to hire experienced M&E Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors for a Datacenter project in Berlin.As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will manage all commercial and financial aspects of high-value, mission-critical projects from inception to completion. Lead MEP cost management, subcontractor procurement, budget forecasting, and contractual risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Leadership: Manage cost planning, cash flows, and monthly commercial reports to ensure budget adherence.MEP & Procurement: Lead procurement, valuation, and payment processes for subcontractors, focusing heavily on HV/MV electrical distribution, UPS systems, and mechanical cooling.Contract Management: Oversee pre- and post-contract services, including contract administration, variations, and final account settlements.Risk & Strategy: Identify and mitigate risks, issuing early warning notices and assessing compensation events.Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior surveyors and collaborate with site project managers and engineersRequirementsExperience: Proven experience in a similar role, specifically with data centersEducation: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.MEP Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP services and critical environment infrastructure is essential for this roleSkills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and proficiency in cost management softwarePlease note this is an ONSITE position so you must hold an EU/UK passport to be consideredWe regret that due to the high volume of applications we are unable to acknowledge each one.
