{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"868b4cce0bc7811e3c18e079","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/868b4cce0bc7811e3c18e079","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/868b4cce0bc7811e3c18e079","title":"Systems Engineer, Basic","description":"Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance\nTravel Requirements: Negligible\nLocation: Norfolk, VA\n\nSUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Basic to designs and develop system-level solutions as directed and provides systems support.\n\nPosition responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:\nPerform initial system analysis, including scope definition, problem analysis, requirements gathering and development.\nDesign and develop architecture data models including data gathering, SysML diagram, activity diagram, and sequence diagram development.\nModel systems using UML, SysML, and UPDM modeling languages.\nGather and analyze requirements.\nCreate custom output reports for the customer using software scripts to pull information automatically from the model.\nDevelop software scripts to create customer output products, highly preferred.\nSupport customer meetings, data gathering activities, and site visits.\nWork under the direct technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks.\nConsult with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.\nWrite and maintain documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections.\nWrite documentation or review documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.\n\nCandidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.\nThree (3)+ years of professional experience in systems engineering to include working knowledge of systems engineering models, processes, tools, scheduling, and budgeting.\nThree (3) years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) computers to include: Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation support of C4ISR requirements, with one (1) year of technical experience in support of World Wide Web (www) interface applications using Structure Query Language (SQL), Oracle, MS Access, or Java as a front end interface.\nExperience leveraging either NoMagic’s MagicDraw modeling tool suite, Innoslate, or IBM’s Rational product suite (Rhapsody and DOORS) to model using UML and SysML.\n\nThe selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following: Employment history; Education and/or certifications; Criminal history; Driving Records; Other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position.\n\nWR is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and is committed to diversity in our workforce.
