engineer","description":"MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.\r\nCode and perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements.\r\nCode, test, debug, and enhance software.\r\nWrite programs according to specifications, and define specifications for complex programs.\r\nMonitor and repair critical systems on an as needed basis.\r\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation.\r\nServe as final escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services supported by the team in accordance with identified Service Level Agreements.\r\nCollaborate with internal customers, technical and architecture teams to solve complex software problems.\r\nProvide system users and management with system analysis and improvement recommendations.\r\nIdentify and recommend system design/requirements needs for software enhancements.\r\nImplement, monitor, test, and audit new software programs to maximize efficiency of software systems.\r\nParticipate in continuous performance improvement sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes and/or standards.\r\nCoordinate with technical teams to analyze and resolve software related problems causing operational difficulties, advising on specialized features and functions.\r\nMaximize the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs.\r\nFollow established configuration/change control processes.\r\nCollaborate with customers and internal/external technical teams to identify software problems and communicate remediation plans.\r\nMentor and coach junior team members.\r\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\r\nTechnologies\r\nStrong experience with Node.js and Typescript\r\nUnderstanding of DynamoDB or other key-value stores and NoSQL databases\r\nExperience using AWS managed services\r\nExperience with caching architectures, particularly Redis\r\nStrong experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Argo, etc).\r\nExperience with monitoring technologies (Splunk, Instana, Datadog, Prometheus, etc).\r\nKnowledge of API documentation, especially Swagger (OpenAPI)\r\nExperience using CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Gitlab)\r\nSkills/Abilities and Knowledge\r\nAbility to read, write, speak and understand English\r\nStrong experience working with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies.\r\nStrong Understanding of Scrum/Agile development methodologies.\r\nCapable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.\r\nExperience with building and designing REST APIs.\r\nExperience with building and designing event-driven systems.\r\nExperience with software security principles and patterns.\r\nAbility to collaborate with and contribute to a common culture of excellence.\r\nExperience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.\r\nEducation\r\nBA/BS in
