We are seeking an experienced Components or Parts Engineer to support our classified warfare products and related technologies. If selected, you will be part of the Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Team supporting a large production program in the Integrated Processing Solutions business unit. This is a very hands‑on, collaborative company and we value your input.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nServe as a EEEE parts or materials and processes expert in a robust PMP program supporting a multimillion‑dollar franchise production program.\n\nLead component reviews, analysis, and assessment against program compliance requirements for space and military programs.\n\nCollaborate closely with the customer, other government agencies, and cross‑functional teams to resolve supply chain issues, review, improve, and document PMP activities, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.\n\nProvide technical assessments to Material Review Boards (MRBs) to resolve non‑conformances.\n\nResearching and determining the impact of PCNs and obsolescence on programs.\n\nLeading component part standardization, part selection, and process change notices.\n\nDeveloping EEE parts specifications detailing component screening and qualification test plans and executing part qualifications with test houses.\n\nCreate and submit NSPARs for customer review and approval supporting component screening and qualification plans. Present non‑standard parts and materials to customers, defend the use of non‑standard parts and materials, and skillfully present detailed technical information to internal and external customers with confidence.\n\nParticipate in RCCA and CAR/SCAR activities as needed.\n\nSupport periodic audits of suppliers’ facilities and processes.\n\nManage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.\n\nMentor more junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge‑sharing culture.\n\nDevelop and maintain appropriate reports, databases and PMPCB meeting agendas and minutes.\n\nRequired Qualifications :\n\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, materials science or related discipline.\n\nTypically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in related industry (i.e. defense, electronics) or two years plus a master’s degree in related disciplines.\n\nExperience designing complex embedded digital hardware products from concept to completion.\n\nExperience designing complex circuits with microprocessors, FPGAs, or network switches.\n\nKnowledge of common military and industry specifications and standards (MIL, ASTM, AEC, ESA, NASA, etc.).\n\nExperience collaborating with and managing suppliers, and requesting PPAPs, qualification reports, additional documentation.\n\nKnowledge of electronic fabrication techniques and processes such as SMT, chip and wire, hybrids, etc.\n\nExperience with the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies.\n\nExperience with the NSMAR NSPAR process or/and forms.\n\nFamiliar with environmental testing per MIL-STD-883 (this is required); MIL-PRF-38534, 38535, passive components, etc.\n\nClear communication – both oral and written – and a positive attitude.\n\nAbility to work remotely as part of larger team.\n\nActive US Security Clearance – Secret.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nUnderstanding of component ratings and derating requirement.\n\nUnderstanding of failure modes in capacitors and packaged active devices.\n\nPrior experience in Design Engineering role, especially on space‑based programs.\n\nPrior experience in Quality or Supplier Quality organizations; familiarity with SAE AS9100 and AS9102.
