With over 50 years of manufacturing experience, ASCO is recognized for its engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing technology, and commitment to quality.\n\nWe specialize in powder metallurgy solutions requiring tight dimensional tolerances, superior mechanical properties, and cost-effective production.\n\nPosition Summary\n\nASCO Sintering Company is seeking a motivated *Entry-Level Quality Engineer* to join our engineering and manufacturing team.\n\nThis position is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer who wants to develop hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process improvement, and problem solving.\n\n*Previous Quality Engineering experience is not required.* ASCO will provide hands-on training in our manufacturing processes, inspection systems, quality tools, and powder metallurgy technology.\n\nThe ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working directly with production personnel on the manufacturing floor.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Learn ASCO's powder metallurgy manufacturing processes, including powder compaction, sintering, and secondary operations.\n* Support the development and maintenance of inspection plans, quality procedures, Control Plans, and work instructions.\n* Assist in investigating manufacturing and product quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action methods.\n* Review engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and GD&T requirements.\n* Learn and utilize advanced inspection equipment, including the *Keyence Vision Measurement System*, optical comparators, pin gages, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.\n* Collect and analyze manufacturing and inspection data using SPC and statistical analysis tools.\n* Assist with process capability studies, including Cp and Cpk analysis.\n* Monitor production quality data and help identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve yield, and improve process consistency.\n* Support new product introduction (NPI), sample runs, process validation, and production launches.\n* Assist with PPAP, First Article Inspection (FAI), FMEA, MSA, and other customer quality requirements.\n* Support Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation.\n* Assist with supplier quality and incoming inspection activities.\n* Support ASCO's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and continuous improvement activities.\n* Develop increasing responsibility for quality projects as knowledge and experience grow.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n* Bachelor's degree in *Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Industrial Engineering*, or a related engineering discipline.\n* *0–2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience.
