Preschool Dance and Creative Movement Teacher

Job Description We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to introduce young children to the joys of dance, fitness, sports, yoga, and tumbling. In this role, you'll utilize our engaging curriculum to teach weekly classes onsite at our partner schools and recreation sites. Join a growing and supportive local team ! Position Details Type: Part-Time Locations: Southeast Austin, Bastrop, Southwest Austin Start Date: Open, with classes added throughout the Fall and additional openings possible during the 2024 school year Schedule: Once assigned, your schedule will remain consistent each week, averaging 4-6 classes. We’re looking for individuals who are excited to teach a few classes each week and have some availability around our popular class times (typically between 9:00 - 11:30 AM and 3:00 - 6:30 PM). Training: Immediate start with approximately 15 hours of training, including online videos and shadowing experienced teachers Why Choose Us? Requirements Transportation: Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to schools, preschools, and recreation centers for onsite classes. Experience: Strong teaching or childcare experience, or demonstrated ability to manage and engage groups of young children while maintaining a structured and enjoyable environment. Background: Solid background in dance, physical education, or gymnastics, either as a participant or instructor. Clearance: Must pass a thorough background check. Training Commitment: Available and committed to initial training (approximately 12 hours, including online modules and shadowing experienced teachers). Residency: Currently reside in our region.
