You'll join a collaborative, safety-focused environment that values innovation, leadership, and continuous improvement.Daily ResponsibilitiesProgram and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems using Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 and Safety PLCsDesign and implement automation systems, including high-speed motion control with VFDs, DC drives, and servo systemsDefine system architecture and select components such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and safety hardwareMaintain and optimize manufacturing equipment controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systemsSupport plant-wide electrical troubleshooting alongside technicians, electricians, and process engineersOversee and improve facility power distribution systems to meet operational demandsLead and support automation upgrades, process improvements, and cost reduction initiativesEnsure compliance with GMP, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL safety standardsUpdate and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using AutoCADManage PLC program backups and documentation on plant network systemsPromote and support EH&S policies and electrical safety training initiativesDrive Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S+1 and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and maintenance teamsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 10 years of electrical engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong expertise in industrial controls, drive systems, and power distributionExperience with PLC programming, automation systems, and instrumentationKnowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, OSHA)Familiarity with calibration methods and preventive/predictive maintenanceProven ability to lead teams and provide technical guidanceStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and documentation systemsThis is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional ready to combine technical expertise with leadership, driving performance, safety, and innovation across a dynamic manufacturing environment.Click Apply Now to connect with our recruiting team and take the next step in your electrical engineering leadership career.About UsAdvantage Technical connects top- talent in technology, engineering, and technical fields with forward-looking companies.Advantage Technical is an equal opportunity employer.
