{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"862a7f154eb2749945997979","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/862a7f154eb2749945997979","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/862a7f154eb2749945997979","title":"Specimen Processing Supervisor","description":"Specimen Processing Supervisor\r\nLabcorp is seeking aSpecimen Processing Supervisorto join our team inChantilly, VA .\r\nWork Schedule:Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 1:00am (must be flexible)\r\nJob Responsibilities:\r\nSupervise the day-to-day operations of the Accessioning department\r\nAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing\r\nDirectly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department\r\nMonitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage\r\nResponsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed\r\nResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary\r\nEngage in continuous process and service level improvements\r\nPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy\r\nPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents\r\nMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development\r\nResponsible for administering and managing policies and procedures\r\nProcess and maintain payroll and personnel files\r\nPerform administrative duties as needed\r\nMinimum Qualifications:\r\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\r\n2 years of previous relevant experience in clinical laboratory environment\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nAssociate degree\r\nSupervisory experience\r\nAdditional Job Standards:\r\nStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office\r\nExcellent communication skills; both written and verbal\r\nHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills\r\nStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment\r\nAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position\r\nFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures\r\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
