Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.\n\nMaterial Handler I - Minimum Qualifications:\n\n0-2 years of experience\n\nFollow and adhere to company policies\n\nHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy\n\nAbility to effectively work in a team environment\n\nEffective communication skills\n\nBasic PC knowledge\n\nAbility to identify and resolve basic problems\n\nAbility to perform basic reading, writing, and math function\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nMaterial Handler II - Minimum qualifications:\n\n1-3 years' experience\n\nHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy\n\nStrong communication skills\n\nIntermediate PC knowledge\n\nAbility to identify and resolve intermediate problems\n\nAbility to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials\n\nAbility to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program\n\nMaterial Handler III - Minimum qualifications:\n\n2 to 5 years' experience\n\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\n\nAbility to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials\n\nAbility to learn and use problem solving tools in everyday work\n\nPrevious experience coaching and training other employees\n\nExperience leading and forming teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nPrevious experience and ability to operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials\n\nAbility to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nWork under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.\n\nParticipates in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity and work is reviewed for accuracy.\n\nComplete and retain all required training\n\nMay resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity. Follows defined procedures and practices.\n\nContacts are typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.\n\nParticipate in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal. If abnormal, fix the area immediately.\n\nComplete forklift daily per procedure\n\nGood attendance is expected per policy\n\nLevel of Independence:\n\nReport to Materials Supervisor and will take direction from the Materials Leads.\n\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
