Logistics Supervisor- Raw Materials

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, driven Logistics Supervisor- Raw Materials (USMPA) to be responsible for overseeing and executing all outbound manufacturing facility orders within the Mont Belvieu Distribution Center utilizing the Blue Yonder WMS. This role ensures the accurate and efficient execution of waving, picking, staging, and loading, while maintaining strict adherence to system-driven processes and customer compliance requirements. In addition, this position is responsible for managing a private fleet driver team, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance through telematics platforms such as Lytx and Geotab. The role also owns the OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) program, ensuring accurate documentation, root cause analysis, vendor compliance reporting, and capturing all rework costs to drive continuous improvement and reduce internal damages.What You’ll DoLead & Develop Your Team Supervise warehouse associates, leads, and private fleet drivers Coach, train, and manage performance to drive productivity and engagement Lead daily startup meetings and set clear expectations Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Drive Outbound Operations Oversee end-to-end outbound manufacturing processes including: Wave planning and release Allocation and shortage resolution  RF and WUI picking execution.  Staging, consolidation, and dock flow Trailer loading and dispatch readiness  Ensure all work is executed accurately within Blue Yonder WMS Maintain strong OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance Partner with Inventory Control to ensure product availability Manage Transportation & Fleet Operations Oversee daily operations of private fleet drivers Ensure DOT compliance and company safety standards Use telematics tools (Lytx, Geotab) to monitor: Driver safety and behavior Route performance and adherence Conduct driver coaching and safety reviews Own OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) Program Ensure accurate and timely documentation Lead root cause analysis for errors and damages Track and report rework costs (labor, product, transportation) Partner with vendors and internal teams on claims and recovery Drive continuous improvement to reduce damages Ensure Accuracy & Compliance Maintain inventory accuracy within WMS Enforce system discipline and eliminate manual workarounds Support cycle counts and reconciliation efforts Promote and enforce OSHA and safety standards Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track and report key KPIs: Productivity Order accuracy Safety performance OS&D trends Identify and implement process improvements Collaborate cross-functionally to solve operational challenges What You BringExperience 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience Experience with WMS systems (Blue Yonder preferred) Transportation or fleet management experience is a plus Skills Strong leadership and team development abilities High attention to detail and operational accuracy Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift 25–75 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, dust, noise) Why Join SBM Life Science?
