You will work across hardware, firmware, embedded software, operating systems, and product teams to integrate and optimize multiple wireless technologies, including Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), NFC, and future connectivity solutions.\n\nYou will play a key role in designing scalable software architectures that bridge hardware and software, enabling seamless communication across embedded devices and host platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging system-level problems, influence the architecture of a new wireless ecosystem, and help define technologies that will shape the future of work.\n\nWhat You Might Do\n\nServe as a technical expert across wireless technologies including Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and related embedded communication interfaces.\nArchitect, design, and develop reusable, scalable wireless software libraries with well-defined APIs that support multiple products and platforms.\nDesign and integrate embedded software components that interface with wireless chipsets using industry-standard buses such as I²C, SPI, UART, and USB.\nCollaborate with hardware, firmware, OS, and application teams to integrate wireless subsystems into new products.\nDrive system-level debugging, performance optimization, and feature development across embedded and host software layers.\nPerform bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting of new wireless hardware platforms.\nAnalyze system resource utilization, including memory footprint, CPU usage, power consumption, and latency, and optimize software for constrained embedded environments.\nPartner with program management and quality teams to investigate complex field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement robust long-term solutions.\nInfluence system architecture to ensure modularity, scalability, backward compatibility, and long-term maintainability across multiple product generations.\nMentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical leadership while promoting engineering best practices.\nIdentify technical risks early and propose architectural improvements that improve reliability, extensibility, and development velocity.\n\nEssential Qualifications\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of software development experience focused on embedded systems, wireless technologies, or systems software.\nStrong proficiency in modern C++ and embedded or systems software development.\nExperience integrating wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, or similar connectivity solutions.\nStrong understanding of embedded communication protocols including I²C, SPI, UART, USB, and GPIO interfaces.\nExperience designing modular software architectures and reusable libraries with stable API boundaries.\nSolid understanding of embedded system design principles, including memory estimation, resource allocation, power management, and performance optimization.\nExperience debugging hardware/software interactions using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, or embedded logging tools.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across firmware, OS, hardware, and product teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with one or more wireless technologies including Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, Wi-Fi, or emerging short-range communication protocols.\nHands-on experience with protocol analyzers such as Ellisys, Frontline, or equivalent debugging tools.\nFamiliarity with wireless coexistence challenges across Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, and NFC.\nExperience bringing up new embedded hardware platforms and working closely with silicon vendors.\nKnowledge of RTOS, Linux, Android, or Windows system software.\nExperience with embedded performance profiling, memory optimization, and low-power system design.\nExperience mentoring engineers, leading technical discussions, and influencing software architecture.\nCuriosity and willingness to learn new technologies and work across multiple engineering disciplines.\n\nSalary range: $140,000 - $225,000\n\nCompensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)\n\nThe salary range for this role is listed above.
