For more information on Horton, Inc. please visit our web site at www.hortonww.com.\r\nResponsibilitiesDesign Engineer Job Responsibilities:\r\nMotivated, self-directed, and the ability to make risk balanced decisions.\r\nVisits customer locations to develop an understanding of the customer's needs.\r\nDirects the modeling and drafting of concepts into designs that can be tested.\r\nConducts computer aided analysis of new concepts with FEA and/or CFD.\r\nTests materials and concepts, working closely with the test lab staff to design tests and document results.\r\nDetermines when an aspect of a product is ready for release.\r\nDevelops test designs to measure the function and quality of products and to test new ideas or modifications of existing products.\r\nProvides technical expertise in support of improvements to existing product designs; authorizes product design revisions.\r\nProvides engineering support to the process of modification of existing products to meet customer requirements, while retaining product function and quality.\r\nParticipates in the process of screening vendors and their products for use by Horton.\r\nProvide on-site assistance to customers, including dealers, OEM's, distributors, or fleet customers experiencing problems with application of company products.\r\nProvides diagnosis of field failures and reports the information.\r\nOther duties as assigned.QualificationsDesign Engineer Qualifications:\r\nRequires a 4-year Engineering degree.\r\nGood communication skills.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft office Suite.\r\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude are paramount.\r\nExperience with CAD, GDT, FEA, Reliability Testing and Design of Experiments is preferred.\r\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.
