We are looking for candidates with 3‑5 years experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation.\n\nContributions\nResponsibilities include:\n\nEstablishing development tools and infrastructure for automation\n\nUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers\n\nAutomate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes\n\nTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing results\n\nEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats\n\nIdentifying technical problems, performing root‑cause analysis, and developing software updates and 'fixes'\n\nWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended\n\nSupport enterprise cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large‑scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD\n\nDocument as‑is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations\n\nLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems\n\nAct as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members\n\nWork with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools\n\nEngineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided\n\nPresent regular status updates and provide cross‑training to other DevOps team members\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\n\nAbility to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance\n\nBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non‑IT field and 2 years related IT experience\n\n3 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)\n\n3 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket\n\n3 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages\n\n3 Years of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment\n\n3 Years of Experience implementing Docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes\n\n3 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration\n\n3 Years of Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI\n\n3 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration\n\nExperience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD Pipelines\n\nPreferred:\n\nCertifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, SAFe DevOps Certification\n\nExperience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including Selenium\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills\n\nExperience with documenting an as‑is state of the environment, performing a gap analysis, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations\n\nExperience with scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby\n\nExperience with automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible\n\nAbout steampunk\nSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
