You will manage a Silicon Engineering group and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation of computing technologies.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nThis person will have strong communication skills, from executive-level status reporting to working level technical discussions. They will have the ability and experience of working with cross functional groups being the main point of contact for collaboration. Strong technical program management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex programs. Ability to get results in a large organization matrix.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nPossess a thorough knowledge of FPGA based ASIC design cycle, validation requirements, software requirements and Vivado flows.\nKnowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects.\nHas responsibility for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas.\nInitiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency.\nProvides unique views and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications.\nIdentify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.\nCollaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions.\nFacilitate closure of complex issues requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, customers, and partners.\nManage and handle issues and escalations with a sense of urgency.\nAvailability for discussions with coworkers and customers in other time zones.\n\n PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nExperience in managing and working with diverse cross functional teams across geographies that include SW, HW, Firmware, Validation, Verification, Marketing, Customer Support, Sales teams.\nExperience in managing complex, interrelated ASIC projects, programs, and functions.\nConsistent record leading and successfully delivering medium-to-large tech programs.\nActing as a key liaison between IP, validation, Software and SOC execution teams on all matters pertaining to successful project execution\nGreat opportunity for someone who wants to solve complex engineering problems and can drive programs efficiently.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive level.\nCollaborate in problem solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units and Product Management\nStrong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar preferred.\n\nLOCATION:\n\nSan Jose, CA (On-Site Role)\nOccasional Travel up to 10% (To visit other AMD teams)\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-EV1\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
