Job Description Job Summary:Ensure relevant corporate policy and internal controls / cost accounting roadmap are administered within the assigned business unit, and act as the site finance representative over inventory. Communicate results, analysis, and actions to a diverse and multi-functional management team. Assist in or lead month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Support Operations team by providing monthly results of Key Business MetricsOrganize cost accounting functions prior to physical inventory (if required) and produces all applicable reportsMaintain Adequate Inventory; Review inventory scrap and other adjustmentsSupport Sales Team by developing manufacture cost estimates and by providing product line margin analysisSupport company controller in directing budget and cost controls, financial analysis, and accounting proceduresContribute to the annual budget process and quarterly forecast process through preparation of necessary analysis & reportingEstablish and maintain Budgeted and Actual Cost pools and allocations for the commercial business; Establish and maintain Labor and OH RatesProvide Periodic Revenue, Margin & Variance Analysis, and Ad-hoc product costingPerform the periodic settlements of projects and Production orders; Analyze open/closed work order variances and follow up as requiredSupport Finance and Sarbanes-Oxley Audits as neededJob Skills & Abilities:Ability to collaborate and develop effective working relationships with internal and external partnersDemonstrated ability to work well independently as well as within a teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and writtenStrong customer focusThoughtful, timely, and disciplined follow-through on assignmentsUnwavering commitment to continuous improvementProficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPointKnowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs)Demonstrated technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities, etc.Ability to plan and manage multiple projects successfullyDemonstrated attention to detail and accuracyProven skills in problem analysis and resolutionAbility to work as required to meet deadlinesEducation and Experience:At least 2-3 years in similar position (preferably in manufacturing companies)Mid level excel userUnderstanding in use of ERPsBeing able to explain a walk through cost roll (Bill of materials & Engineering routings)Bachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum of 4 years' work experience in cost accounting/business analysis/forecastingExperience working in accounting within the manufacturing industry requiredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Able to travel as needed (occasional).Must be able to access and navigate each department at organizations' facilities.Disclaimer: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
