Senior Architectural Estimator (Luxury Residential - Flooring & Finishes Focus)Location: Remote (Colombia Preferred)Working Hours: U.S. Time Zone Overlap (EST preferred)Compensation: (depending on experience)OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Architectural Estimator to support a U.S.-based company specializing in high-end residential flooring and finishes.This role is ideal for a seasoned architectural professional who excels at interpreting luxury residential plans and translating them into highly accurate, detail-driven cost estimates.You will operate at the intersection of architecture, construction, and estimating, working directly with U.S.-based architects and builders to ensure clarity, precision, and execution at the highest level.This is a critical, high-trust role—we are looking for someone who is extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and confident communicating in a client-facing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Estimating & Takeoffs Analyze and interpret luxury residential architectural plans and specificationsDevelop highly detailed and accurate cost estimates, with a focus on:Flooring systems (hardwood, tile, stone, LVT, etc.)High-end finishes and material specificationsPerform precise takeoffs, identifying all required materials, labor, and scope componentsEnsure all estimates meet strict internal standards for accuracy, completeness, and consistencyDesign Interpretation & Problem SolvingTranslate architectural intent into clear, buildable, and costed scopes of workIdentify missing details, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in plansProactively resolve issues by asking the right questions and validating assumptionsEnsure alignment between design intent and real-world executionClient & Stakeholder CommunicationCommunicate directly with U.S.-based architects, builders, and project stakeholdersConfidently lead conversations to clarify design intent and scope detailsAct as a trusted, professional point of contact—bringing clarity and direction to each projectBe comfortable picking up the phone and driving discussions forward when neededProcess Ownership & ExecutionOwn the estimating process from initial plan review through final submissionMaintain organized documentation of estimates, revisions, and assumptionsContinuously improve workflows for efficiency and accuracyDrive projects forward independently with minimal oversightRequired Qualifications 5+ years of experience in architecture, construction estimating, or related fieldsStrong experience working on luxury residential projectsProven ability to perform detailed estimating and takeoffs from full plan setsHands-on experience estimating:Flooring systems (hardwood, tile, stone, etc.)Interior finishes and materialsProficiency in:AutoCADRevit (preferred but not required)Experience working with or supporting U.S.-based companies or clientsStrong English communication skills (written and verbal)Key Traits for SuccessExtremely detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracyStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilityConfident communicator who can engage directly with architects and buildersProactive and ownership-driven—does not wait for directionOrganized and process-orientedEasy to work with and collaborative across teamsNice-to-HaveExperience with high-end residential flooring systems and installation methodsDeep familiarity with finish schedules and material specificationsExposure to U.S. construction standards and workflowsWhy This RoleWork on premium, design-forward residential projectsDirect exposure to U.S.-based architects and buildersHigh-impact role with ownership over a critical functionLong-term remote opportunity with growth potential
