This individual will perform estimating duties for PCI\\'s various scopes of work.\nResponsibilities Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects\nMaintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing\nSolicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-performing group\nUnderstand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level of risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages\nInvolvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams\nParticipate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations\nContract administration for secured projects\nUtilize wage and benefit schedules\nHand off secured projects to the Operations team\nAssist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s)\nSupport other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration\nCompensation Salary range for this position is $75,100 - $101,000\nThis position is safety sensitive.\nBasic Requirements Must have at least 2 years’ experience estimating construction projects\nExperience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction\nStrong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods\nHas a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships\nExcellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills\nPossess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills\nAbility to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work\nProficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift\nMust have a sharp understanding of estimating techniques and the bidding process\nAbility to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently\nAbility to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned\nPossess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills\nPreferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline\nExperience with estimating drywall and framing commercial interiors\nOSHA certification\nExperience working with union representatives\nLocal to Springfield, MO\nAt Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
