This position supports federal government construction projects, providing expertise in cost estimation. You will work closely with our clients and field staff on significant projects. You will support both Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts, developing detailed estimates using standard construction estimating practices and software.\nWho Will Succeed in This Role\nThis role is best suited for professionals who have:\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nProven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nTechnological adoption and proficiency (e.g., Autodesk ProEst).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nExpertise in process improvement, project management, and cost analysis.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform detailed review of project plans and specifications.\nPerform quantity takeoffs for all divisions of construction activities.\nPrepare top-down conceptual and bottoms-up detailed estimates. Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.\nAbility to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.\nUnder supervision prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.\nEnsure entire project scope is covered in the estimate\nPrepare clarifications and assumptions for such estimate\nPrepare constructability assessment and mitigate issues\nEducation & Experience\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered\nExperience\nAcademic background with a specialty in Estimating or evidence of five (5) years of construction estimating experience to compensate for the absence of higher education.
