DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport, Sault Ste. Marie, and Port Huron, as well as Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities.\nPropane Driver responsibilities are to safely load, transport, and unload propane promptly and efficiently in order to serve DHT customers’ needs in the Moundsville, WV region. This position requires at least one weekend day a week to be worked.\nUp to $5000 sign on bonus based on experience.\nFlexible schedule\nSafety bonus\n*Bronze Level Veteran Friendly Employer from Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency*\nPropane Driver Essential Duties:\nAttach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker\nUse permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker\nFollow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods\nComplete all “pre-trip” requirements before each truck run and “post-trip” requirements at the end of each shift\nOperates a powered industrial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws\nTransports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations\nDeftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals\nAssists with loading and unloading of materials, using specialized equipment when warranted\nMaintains work orders, invoices, shipping bills, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to appropriate staff\nCommunicates effectively verbally and in writing at terminals and with Dispatch, Drivers, vendors, and customers\nFacilitates routine service on trucks, reports maintenance malfunctions to appropriate parties\nArranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns\nCollect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes\nCheck all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy\nWORK A WEEKEND SCHEDULE\nPropane Driver Compensation Package:\nCompetitive pay – $25-$30 per hour based on experience.\nOpportunity for bonus pay (holiday, safety, etc)\nEmployee- owned company - Employee Stock Option program\nPaid vacation.
