{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"85ea5a2fd4b11e40c620d042","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/85ea5a2fd4b11e40c620d042","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/85ea5a2fd4b11e40c620d042","title":"Aircraft Manufacturing Engineer","description":"One of our prominent clients designs builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems for satellites and spacecraft.\nCLIENT uses state-of-the-art 3D metal alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test new engine designs in our purpose-built propulsion test facility.\nWith over a decade of experience testing rocket engines, and engineers who have worked at industry leaders like Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Rocketdyne, CLIENT is a rapidly growing company with many exciting Defense, Civil, and Commercial programs.\nCLIENT is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for performing highly complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification, and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations in various product lifecycle stages; plan, conduct, and review project progress and evaluate results including time and on budget; ability to manage a technical group independently.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for aerospace components, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, operations, and quality assurance to translate design specifications into manufacturable products.\nConduct feasibility studies, process capability assessments, and risk analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.\nUtilize statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to monitor and analyze manufacturing performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for manufacturing-related issues, driving sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.\nStay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in aerospace manufacturing, and apply this knowledge to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.\nSupport new product introductions and product transfers by providing expertise in manufacturing process development, validation, and scale-up.\nChampion initiatives related to automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, flexibility, and efficiency in manufacturing operations.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
